Leukodystrophy Center (LC)

The Leukodystrophy Center (LC) at Weill Cornell Medicine is comprised of a multidisciplinary team which provides comprehensive medical care to both children and adults affected by a leukodystrophy. Allied with the New York State Newborn Screening Program, we specialize in the imaging surveillance of patients identified by newborn screening. In partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, our Metabolic Cell and Gene Therapy Program provides expertise in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation specifically for neurometabolic disease.

The LC is a Leukodystrophy Care Network Certified Center. The Leukodystrophy Care Network (LCN) is a community of affected families, organizations and medical providers committed to revolutionizing the health and quality of life of individuals affected by Leukodystrophies with proactive, innovative, and comprehensive medical care standards and specialized centers.  To learn more, please visit the Leukodystrophy Care Network website.
