Our division is strongly committed to the research and education of young physicians and scientists in the field of pediatric nephrology. We currently offer Pediatric Nephrology elective for medical students and pediatric residents to gain exposure in both inpatient and outpatient nephrology, during which trainees learn to diagnose and treat children with a wide spectrum of acute and chronic kidney diseases. We are also invested in training the next generation of physician scientists in pediatric research, as Dr. Oleh Akchurin serves as the Associate Director for the Pediatric Physician Scientist Training Program at Weill Cornell Medicine.
