The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Weill Cornell Medicine provides compassionate care for infants and children with all forms of kidney disease, including acute and chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and complex urologic conditions. Our multidisciplinary team works together to provide comprehensive care for children with kidney disease and their families. We strive for excellence in clinical care and teaching, and we support basic and clinical research to advance our understanding of kidney disease in children.
What Sets us Apart
- Our Center for Pediatric Transplant and Advanced Kidney and Urologic Diseases, under the Weill Cornell Transplant Program, is part of the oldest kidney transplant program in New York and the largest living donor program on the East Coast.
- In partnership with the Rogosin Institute, we provide all forms of outpatient dialysis for children, and we are the only center in NYC with the capability to provide home hemodialysis for children.
- We offer a Transition Program for adolescents with chronic kidney disease to ensure successful transition to adult care.
- Many complex kidney diseases require the combined expertise of other subspecialists, and we work closely with other specialties, including urology, surgery, rheumatology, cardiology, and pathology.
- We are affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital, the #1 ranked children’s hospital in New York City in the 2022-2023 US News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals survey.
