Pediatric Endocrinology Education

In addition to providing outstanding patient care, our division is strongly committed to the research and education of young physicians and scientists in the field of pediatric endocrinology.

Each year, one trainee is accepted for our ACGME-accredited Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Program. Our faculty is involved in clinical and basic research in the areas of metabolic bone disease, growth and adrenal disorders, insulin signaling and pathogenesis of diabetes, and endocrine disorders in childhood cancer survivors.

The Division has recently linked with a basic science lab (Dr. Mary Teruel) to increase basic science research opportunities for our fellows. We hope to add additional collaborations so fellows have more opportunities for basic science research during their training.
