Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced Post Doc to join the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. This position is for candidates who want to do basic and translational research on heart regeneration with the long-term goal to help infants and children with heart disease.  We are searching for applicants with excellent academic performance and first-author publications. The recruitment is for a Post- Doc in the Laboratory of Dr. Bernhard Kuhn, Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology with a lab located within the within the Department of Pediatrics at the Weill Cornell Medicine.  We promote high research standards, foster teamwork, and provide supportive mentorship.  Available projects involve transcriptional profiling of single cardiomyocytes from mammalian specimen and humans, myocardial regeneration studies in neonatal and adult mammalian specimen, microscopy of cardiomyocytes in culture and in the intact heart and directing terminal differentiation of ES- and iPS-cell derived cardiomyocytes.  Our projects are multi-disciplinary, involve collaborations with experts from diverse fields, and are NIH-funded.
