The Department of Pediatrics at NYP Queens is composed of six board-certified Neonatologists, advanced practice providers and a neonatal inter-disciplinary team and has a 14 bed, Level III NICU. Being affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian & Weill Cornell Medicine, we offer many of the highly specialized services typically found in an academic medical center in the setting of a local community hospital, with the ability to facilitate a transfer to the Level IV NICUs at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital or NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital
The NICU at NYP Queens works in close collaboration with the Division of Neonatology at Weill Cornell in areas of clinical care, research, and education. Faculty have the option to participate in a weekly clinical conferences at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
We are in search of a candidate to serve as the Chief of Neonatology at the assistant or associate professor level. The primary faculty appointment will be at Weill Cornell Medical College. Faculty will have access to educational and professional development opportunities at both campuses. This is primarily a clinical position but candidates with research interests are encouraged to apply.
Chief duties include but are not limited to the oversight of all clinical care, creation/implementation of practice guidelines and standardization; supervision and evaluation of patient care providers; patient care leadership, providing frontline service to families and mitigating patient issues; collaboration and coordination of care with Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, Subspecialty teams, and Nursing; and partnership with Weill Cornell/NYP to promote shared goals such as quality and safety initiatives and reporting metrics.
Salary Range
Salary Range: $295,000 - $350,000
*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when hired for NYC Offices
