Pediatric Neurology Residency Position

There is an opening for a three-year ACGME-accredited child neurology residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine starting July 1, 2026. All candidates must have completed two or three years of an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency and must be in good standing. Our child neurology residency has a tradition of training outstanding and compassionate physicians, who flourish in their medical and/or research career. Our program has one resident per year, with plans to expand to two residents per year in the near future. Our residents rotate primarily at three institutions: NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center is our primary academic hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is a world leader in cancer management, and the Hospital for Special Surgery is rated as the nation’s top academic medical center focused on musculoskeletal health. There are also opportunities to do rotations and electives at our satellite institutions, New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens and New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, as well as other institutions nationally and abroad.

New York City is rich in cultural diversity, and this is reflected in the patient population that we serve. Residents are exposed to a wide variety of patients, from straightforward “bread and butter” conditions to rare and complex conditions, which helps them build their critical thinking and clinical skills.

Our faculty come from diverse backgrounds and are national and international leaders in clinical medicine, research, education and advocacy.  We are dedicated to mentoring and teaching residents. Residents have a great deal of flexibility in tailoring their training according to their areas of interest. Our program is strongly integrated with the adult neurology program, with residents attending the same conferences and social activities. Our residents are wonderful individuals with varied interests, who work well as a team and support each other.
