Back to School Tips: Creating Household Routines

creating household routines morning, after school and night

Establishing a routine with children can be an incredibly valuable way to help your child feel prepared for school. Routines can be set to match any household or family. Whether it’s simply setting a specific time for wake-up and bedtime, or creating detailed charts for how time is spent throughout the day, a routine promotes a child’s ability to cope and thrive. It’s important to start easing your child into their home routines prior to school starting to encourage a more seamless transition into their first day.
