Childhood COVID Vaccine Poster Project

New York Pediatric Resident Advocacy Coalition flyer

Through the development of the New York Pediatric Resident Advocacy Coalition, Dr. Danny Birkhead (Cornell PGY-2), Dr. Melissa Rubin (Columbia PGY-2) and a group of NYC pediatrics residents led the Childhood COVID Vaccine Poster Project, creating informative posters to be placed in clinical settings throughout the state of New York. The poster artwork was created by Dr. Brandon Mogrovejo (Columbia PGY-2), with embedded QR codes that direct patients and families to the CDC’s website for more information about the COVID vaccine in children, side effects, misconceptions, and also the VaccineFinder, to help them find local vaccination centers. By working with the American Academy of Pediatrics New York (AAP NY) Chapter Leadership, the resident leaders were able to get approval to place the official AAP NYS Chapter Logo on the poster and distribute it more widely throughout the state. Be on the lookout for posters arriving soon, as an initial round of printing in both English and Spanish is currently in process for larger format displays in clinical settings near you.
