Karen Chen Chen was born and raised in Venezuela and completed her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. Training there gave her the chance to work with a diverse patient population and grow both personally and professionally. She loves taking long walks; it's her favorite way to clear her head. Karen also a big fan of trying new foods, especially desserts!
Mollie Wald grew up in Boston and moved to Western Massachusetts to earn her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She went on to attend medical school at the Technion American Medical School in Haifa, Israel. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Baystate Children’s Hospital, UMass Chan School of Medicine in Springfield, MA. During residency, Mollie developed a strong interest in pediatric endocrinology, with a focus on growth and metabolic disorders. Her background in research includes working at a pharmaceutical startup developing a novel treatment for children with PKU. She also supported peers through the UMass student disability center and volunteered at Rambam Hospital in Israel. Outside of medicine, Mollie is an avid traveler and has visited over two dozen countries. In her free time, she enjoys biking, knitting, and spending time at the beach.
Sara Velasquez Restrepo was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia. She completed medical school at CES University, Medellin, Colombia and completed her PGY-3 at Lincoln Medical Center. Major accomplishments include Matching for Endocrinology at Cornell, winning Best Second Year Award, and presenting 2 posters at ENDO Society. Sara’s hobbies outside of medicine are reading books, riding her bike, and going out to eat.
